| Europe Undecided over Online Casinos Industry
The news from Europe was encouraging for the online casinos industry. Italy, one of the strongest objectors to online gambling industry and that even acted by blocking the IPs of several European online casinos companies, announced of a new project that aims at promoting gambling in the country. Now, with the United States almost completely out of the picture, Europe realizes that online casino industry's billions of dollars are going to be pouring into the continent, and governments want in on the take.
Although the general spirit in Europe is changing, we still see signs of struggle. Russia recently started working on anti online casinos gambling acts that -once approved by the Russian president- will ban online casinos gambling in the country. Other alarming news comes from Germany, where one of the 16th states is posing a ban over online casinos gambling, and the local online gambling industry seems to be helpless against the legal situation. The highest court in Germany showed its support of the state's decisions, and things are not simple. Other countries are hanging in the middle.
Ireland and Greece, for example, are still undecided, while the United Kingdom is constantly considering regulating the online casino industry, but will little progress on the matter as of now. It is believed that as more brands migrate to Europe, and online casinos gambling will start penetrating into most of Europe's online market, governments will have little choice but to accept the industry and offer proper regulation that will help keep the standards high and protect online casinos players from online scams.
